I owe thanks to my Hofstra Writing Composition Professor Ethna Lay, for assigning us to create a blog as a homework assignment. I will write about this and that because I actually have been there, done that. Love my life and all those it in. Feel free to disagree, that is what makes the world go around!

"...and yet to crush it a little,..." FFW (II.v.143-145)
Malvolio says "...yet to crush it a little, it would bow to me..." he is reading the note that he believes is written by Olivia and he thinks that it is telling him that she loves him. A secret note for him to decipher. As he reads some random alphabet letters he wishes them to mean a code that refers to himself. Malvolio will twist anything into them to make it fit into his puzzle. Malvolio sees what he wants to see even if it doesn't make sense.

Nancy, I agree completely with what you wrote. Malvolio is only thinking about what he wants to think about; he does not even consider that they might mean something else or represent another person at all. This connects to how conceded he is, that he only thinks about himself in everything that he does.
